As far as I can see, the
main problem that causes terrorism is that acts of terrorism originate from
hatred, in which hatred is one of the characteristics of humans. It's just that
hatred can be rational and can be irrational. According to Marion Rodriguez, a
therapist from the United States, an example of rational hatred is to hate
unjust behavior. On the other hand, hatred can be irrational if it is related
to ethnicity, religion, race, or sexual orientation
(idntimes.com,2019).
This hatred stems from the belief that other groups have a disability and
consider it a threat. The problem is mainly due to extreme hatred, a sense of
racism will emerge wherein racism can give birth to the soul of a terrorist.
There have been many
cases of terrorism that have occurred in Indonesia. The terrorism case has
brought many problems in this country. As is the case with divisions between
diverse communities. In my opinion this problem stems from the emergence of
suspicion between religious communities, where every day is increasingly
worrying. Not infrequently the suspicion leads to discrediting a certain group,
even to the point of offending a certain religion. This problem is a serious
problem, if this problem is not immediately addressed feared mutual respect
between religions can decrease or even disappear. As for the worse things like
what happened in Indonesia some time ago there were bombings in places of
worship. One way to solve this problem is by conducting interfaith dialogue
represented by religious leaders which is expected to avoid misunderstanding
between religious communities so that it is not easily provoked by people who
expect divisions between religions.
In addition terrorism
jigs can cause anxiety in the community which will lead to the potential for
chaos. If the chaos cannot be dealt with immediately, terrorists will become
increasingly rampant and may threaten the sovereignty of the Republic of
Indonesia which can lead to war. To prevent these bad things by creating a
synergistic relationship between the menagani who manages the problem of
defense with the community so that the country's resilience can be improved. In
addition, we as Indonesian people must also support efforts to terrorize
terrorism by fostering mutual respect and tolerance.
This
solution will definitely get results, but it may take a long time to solve the
problem. On
the other hand, the attitude of belonging and unity is also very necessary to
reduce or even eliminate this problem. Because if only a few people move, no
matter how good the solution will not be realized. So it takes togetherness,
respect and tolerance to get rid of the problem of terrorism in Indonesia.
